We aren’t charging a rego fee, please use this money towards one of the selected charities!

My aim is to make this ride as inclusive as possible to promote bike packing and ultra endurance riding, I won’t be asking any registration fee to ride. However i strongly encourage everyone to donate at least $5.00 towards any charity listed below. This isn’t compulsory, but I would like to see the members of this ride help to do something great!

These charities have been carefully selected as they are relevant towards our bike packing community, mental health, nature and environmental sustainability.

Please email me ( a copy of your donation receipt (you don’t have to include the amount you donated). But it would be cool to see how much we all collectively donated after the ride.

Love Me Love You – Mental Health Awareness

Love Me Love You is a not for profit organisation providing interactive and engaging programs that challenge the views and stigmas surrounding mental health.

According to the World Health Organization, mental health is ‘a state of well-being in which every individual realizes his or her own potential, can cope with the normal stresses of life, can work productively and fruitfully, and is able to make a contribution to her or his community. ’

Wilderness Society Australia

Together, we can demand strong new nature laws and an independent watchdog to enforce those laws. We can stand together to protect our pristine oceans and climate from risky deep sea drilling.

Your donation will:

  • Stop risky deepwater drilling in our pristine oceans
  • Protect the Bight for good
  • Protect the biodiversity we all depend on
  • Keep destructive logging out of our native forests
  • Train community leaders across the country to protect the places we love

AWC – Australian Wildlife Conservancy

Australian Wildlife Conservancy is the largest private owner and manager of land for conservation in Australia, protecting endangered wildlife across more than 6.5 million hectares in iconic regions such as the Kimberley, Cape York, Kati Thanda-Lake Eyre and the Top End. Recognising that ‘business as usual’ for conservation in Australia will mean additional extinctions, AWC is developing and implementing a new model for conservation.

Additional information:

The final version of the route (GPS file) will not be made available until early December. When the route is finalised, you will be sent the GPS file.

Remember, the GPS file is nothing more than a line on a map to be used at your own discretion, at a time and date of your choice, and in association with your own due diligence. By utilising the GPS file, you are accepting full responsibility for your own safety. The GPS file comes with no guarantees with regards to the condition, safety or even existence of a trail. Should you choose to ride the route you do so at your own risk.

This ride is unsupported, there will be no one to help you besides yourself and other riders. No GPS trackers will be provided. Basically, it is 100% your responsibility to stay safe, fueled, and out of trouble. I, Max Hobson, as a ride leader, will assist in mechanical repairs and help out with any issues that I can, but I may be out of contact for significant periods of time, so I cannot be relied upon for help or assistance.

Myself, other riders or The Bike Pack Shop, and any other affiliated businesses WILL NOT be liable or take responsibility for any issues during the event. Please be clear of this before you commit.

Anyway, this event is supposed to be a fun way to meet new friends, get inspired, and have a bloody cracker of a time!

We hope to see you there as we cannot wait to meet the bike packing community in Australia!
