76 Projects tubeless valves – specifically designed to enhance & optimise tubeless systems.
These tubeless valves have 4x the air through-put of standard presta valves, along side this they boast a redesigned core that helps prevent sealant build-up. Tubeless bike tyres and rims were introduced 20 years ago yet all tubeless valves still use presta valve designs. The clearances in a presta valve are smaller than the holes that sealant is supposed to be able to block so it’s no surprise that the valves get clogged after a few months of use.
The new 76 tubeless valves have a 300% increase in volume of air over standard presta valves. This helps to fill the tyre with air much faster, turning tubeless setups into a breeze. This is a big benefit for anyone who uses a track pump or doesn’t have access to an air compressor.
76 Projects’s ‘No Clog’ internals have greatly increased clearances, preventing short and long term sealant build up. Valves with sealant build up can become unusable and irritating when pumping up tyres. Not only are clogged valves annoying, they don’t show an accurate air pressure reading leading to frustration out on the road or trail.
With 76’s new valves, you’re able to inject sealant directly through the valve centre without the fear of clogging your valve core. This is because 76 Projects Hi-flow valves have been designed to withstand the sealant without comprising your valve.
I fitted the pair I bought and BAM! Well actually more a poof! I was able to seat a pair of Schwalbe X-One tyres to some Mavic Open Pro UST rims using just a track pump. And it was easy, just a few strokes and up they went. So, so far the ‘No Clog’ HV valve has impressed. They went up easy, they stayed sealed, no leaking around the valve, I’m happy.
